Today we had our interim crit for 45. The crit finally allowed us to gather how our progress was coming along and if we were on the right tract with the concept.
Overall Simon really like our feedback and the amount of work we produced. He liked the concept of 45 but to him it wasn't entirely clear what 45 meant. As people could be questioning what does 45 mean? is it quantity or something else. We ensure Simon that it was in fact 45 (degrees), which Simon came to understand but he said it was not clear from the logo what that 45 meant.
Another piece of feedback was that a previous exhibition by visual communication or fine art, which had a similar name to our, so it could become a little confusing or people might think it's somehow linked. Simon also said the website wasn't needed, due to the amount of time and money will need to be spent and the event isn't big enough to were a website will be beneficial.
From our feedback we was asked to now take a closer look on aspects such as stock, type, grids, scale, pricing and to refine everything to make the concept as a whole a lot clearer to understand.
From this feedback we decided on naming our brand Fortyfive degrees rather than just fortyfive to make everything much clearer for people approaching the exhibition knowing nothing about it. We also decided against using a website and that we should probably use social media instead to communicate all the information about our exhibition.
