After we had finalised our concept we then began to start on designing the logo. We decided to focus on the logo on the weekend and bring in ideas for a group crit on the monday.
Below are some of the ideas the group pitched on monday.
 |
Megan's logo ideas. Megan was very experimental will the positioning and layout of her ideas for the logo. My personal favourite is the 7th one in Megan's ideas. This logo idea is my favourite as when first looing at the logo you notice the 4 & 5 but with a closer look the top of the 5 has been broken off and then with this aspect spotted you then read 4 over 5 (4/5) which sums up the concept and links level 4 and 5 together. Subtle but effective in my opinion.
However this idea was out voted as some people may get confused with the 5 as some people may get confused by what we are trying to get across. |

| These are Thea's ideas. Thea introduced a lot more colour in her ideas and played around with the concept of degrees a lot more. Most of her colour combinations were very soft and reserved. Also Thea played around with chevrons to connect the idea of degrees. This was nice touch and really indicated the point in case anyone became confused. A lot of the ideas were contemporary and clearly summed up our concept in one simple logo. |

| This was the final logo choice. However i was out screen printing on this day but i trusted my groups choices and opinions to make the right choice. This was designed by Hattie as it an extremely simple but effective logo. One line separating the 4 and 5 at a 45 degree angle. Typeface is strong, readable and impactful. The kind of typeface we need in order for our exhibition to reach the wildest audience possible. |
