Studio Brief 4 - Main problem for me in 1st year

After listing all the things, which i knew going into the first year, I've chosen to top ones that i would of helped me the most. These were:

Remember to do COP:
When we first got given cop i didn't think it was as important as the rest of the projects due to how long we had to do it. However as time went on i soon began to regret this decision as i was struggling with how quickly it came around, which caught me off guard. Therefore i had to work extra hours and late nights finishing off my essays and practical work for cop. I just wish there was some kind of reminder that made me realise to not leave cop till the last minute as it's still a big part of my overall grade.

Try not to get stressed out
It's probably a lot harder then just saying "don't get stressed" but coming to uni, i wasn't expecting the amount of work we got given straight of the bat. I wasn't prepared, which lead to me to become over stressed thinking what work needs to be done first and have i done enough to get a good grade. The first year is important but isn't important in terms of percentages as the first year doesn't count towards the overall grade. With this said, i wish some one would of mentioned to me that there isn't no need to become over stressed. First year is about finding your self and experimenting and as long as your in class when you're meant to be then there would be no reason why i wouldn't be able to do well.

Don't forget to blog

Bogging is probably to biggest nightmare for the majority of first year students. Remembering to blog and not leaving it to the last minute is such a big mistake. Just thinking to myself that i can just blog about that tomorrow or another day soon piles up to weeks of blogs you need to catch up on. I wish i had reminders on how important it was to keep on top of your blog. Not only as it's a great way to organise your self and deal with stress but also how it's massively important for your development towards the course. Blogging should be fun and a creative way to expressive and communicate yourself as an inspiring designer. This can't be done if you're up at 2 in the morning, 2 days before the deadline blogging about brief 1.
