The chosen concept for my idea is as follows. My concept is community based, providing a site where the user can help spread a positive message that will end up being used after the release of the album. The message behind the album 'Dear G-D' is about self discovery and dealing with personal issues, the majority being depression. So to link the message of the album into the site I want the user to be able to go onto the site and write a message of positivity with the hashtag #DearG-d. The hashtag can be seen as two ways. The first way the user can see it as if they are talking to God directly and confining in him. The other is to see it as just a hashtag and a way to spread a positive message, therefore not forcing any religious beliefs onto any user that has no faith.
The hastag will also be used as a way to further spread the advertisement of the album, using their fans to spread the album around to their friends on social media which should create a snowball effect. With the count down to the album, any user visiting the site will have an option to input a message into the site, once the album is released the website will changed to slideshow that showcases all of the positive messages the fans have submitted on the pre-release site. This will still increase traffic to the site after the release of the album as the fans would want to check the site to see if they can see their message or to see all the positivity and become inspired. While the traffic is still high after the release then this is the perfect time to push the sale of the album, making it the center focus of the campaign.
