Studio Brief 4 - Target Audience

The target audience is extremely important when designing campaigns. It's important to know who you are designing for, so It's important to design your decisions based on how you think that specific demographic would interact and behave with that campaign. Especially when incorporating UX within your digital design. Younger people interact entirely different then the older demographic, this is because the young are the digital boomers who have all grown up with the Internet making it a lot easier for them to quickly understand the changes. On the other hand the older generation have been left behind to try and figure it out themselves and a lot still refuse to admit that the digital age has come. In terms of UX knowing the demographic can highly impact the user journey within the site. Younger people will be attracted to something while the older people may not be. Aspects like coding are all something which needs to be specific to a certain audience. Interactive and engaging animation will be something the younger audiences will appreciate but essentially something that the older audience won't know a thing about. It's all about balance, making sure every one can have a pleasant user journey even if the site is aimed at a younger band of people, you still have to consider designing for people with disabilities and that includes people who are deaf and blind.

For the band 'Being as an Ocean' the target audience would be a younger demographic aged between 16-25 who could be considered as socially recluse and are into metal bands.
