A lot of the time bands reach out to their audience by promoting there new album by the use of posters. Posters are the cheapest form of advertisements to make in comparison to online advertisements, which will mostly be ignored. Posters are also a way to reach a large quantity of people within your budget. They can be placed anywhere, in or outside a building. With this information, I made a series of poster to promote the new album and to also promote the concept by trying to get my audience to visit the website.
Two posters are below:

 |
The poster here is trying to get the audience to go to the website and get involved with the campaign. Using typography at a large scale will instantly catch a person from a distance and distract anyone walking by, especially when the typeface is a serif, making it more demanding and bold. At first glance the user would see the text, making them want to investigate further. They proceed by then reading the message in which they feel inspired. The user doesn't even have to know what the poster is for. The message itself can relate to a larger demographic. Once the audience feels inspired then in kicks the tagline "Visit the website to spread your message - BAAO.com". Once they see the tagline hopefully that inspiration from the quote above would get them involved with the campaign. Lastly the hashtag has been highlighted to get people talking, get them talking through all platforms and in return will only snowball and get more attention from people and the media.
To keep the lifespan of the poster going, after the release of the album the message on the poster would be different with each and every poster to showcase all the messages their fans have submitted. The campaign would then take on a new form of life, spreading positivity into everyone who sees the poster. |

| This second poster would essentially be a teaser for the album. It will still incorporate the hashtag like the first poster. The poster will show the album cover, the album cover would be the first time the audience would see the artwork if they haven't yet visited the website, creating excitement and wonder. Unlike the first poster, this one isn't promoting the website but only teasing the artwork and leaving them with minimal information. Lastly the design incorporates the itunes and amazon logos suggesting that they can buy/pre-order right now. I didn't want to say 'pre-order' or 'buy' next to the logos as this would limit the lifespan of the poster. It would be beneficial for the lifespan and production cost if the poster would last before and after the release of the album and i think the poster does just that. |
