For the initial sketches I began to experiment with the different layout styles of the leaflet, finding the most effective ways to layout the content.
| Front cover, visualising a design production line, going from one stage to another. The line that will go from the top to the bottom will grab the users eyes and lead them down the page making sure they see the whole leaflet. Colour of the leaflet would possibly be black and white to ensure a cost efficient way when printing. |
| (Middle idea) Experimenting with the layout and positioning of text and the title font. Making the title the main focus of the leaflet would increase visual appearance. Other parts of the information would be stripped back in a small manner so it wouldn't clash or ruin the initial impact of the large text but still would be seen my the small images next to the information. |
| This ideas is in a typical hierarchy format with the large title at the top to entice the users attention. The information underneath in sections based of a 4 column grid, making sure the text doesn't run into the creases of the fold. |
| Using the illustration in a creative format, along with the text. A modern style, showcasing the design process in a creative style engaging and attracting the user to want to hang this poster on their wall. Not having a back cover for this version to save on printing cost. Also by having all the design and content on the front will ensure the poster if hung wouldn't hide any important information or illustration. |
| Using large numbers and images next to the content would make the design come alive but also giving the design a contemporary approach by overlapping the number onto the image. |
