I've talked about the implementation of 8 bit music within the game in another blog post but today when I was trying to gather research and feedback on the finished animation I noticed that the Mexican theme song became very catchy and people in the class began to hum it without even realising. I showed the game to around 3 people and Lo began to hum the song and she wasn't one of the people that I showed the game too.
This revelation led me to think of the hidden and subconscious benefits of the song. As Lo demonstrated the song can become catchy without even playing the game. This suggests that anyone can pick up the song and begin to hum it and then wonder where it came from, which will lead them to finding it out and playing the game to listen to it again. The humming will also become contagious and spread to other people to create a sense of free promotion. Another great aspect that further mocks Trump supporters is the fact that if a trump supporter plays the game and gets the Mexican anthem stuck in his head then he'll be humming the theme song of a country they hate. This in return will spread to his friends and family creating an ironic and hilarious situation. And this will further demonstrate how stupid Trump supporters are.
