Studio Brief 2 - Idea Feedback From Tutor CAN POST

Once I had a few game ideas from the brainstorming session I spoke to the tutor to understand his thoughts and opinions on the direction and selection of some ideas and whether or not I needed to think of more ideas or if there was one that he thought would fit the brief and what I was trying to achieve with Trump.

I had a few questions going into the discussion with the tutor. The questions were:

  • Can the game just be about mocking Trump or does it have to link in with the presidential election?
  • Should I do a set of mini games or one big game?
  • Advice about target audience
The tutor suggested that it would be more meaningful to produce a game that was around the presidential election because of how easy it is to research the current information out there from the current election campaign of Trump. He also explained that the target audience should be aimed at Trump supporters and that I should embed a satire approach by subtly insulting and mocking Trump with out the knowledge of his supports.

Lastly, the tutor suggested that creating a series of games would be more beneficial to create a number of responses about Trump to maximise the insult and damaging effects. More games will essentially make the game more popular and could possible give it more chance of going viral with more people playing and interacting wit the game.
