Before I embark on the journey of filming the video for the Crimewatch promotional video I wanted to gather as much feedback from my peers as possible. At this point in my development I had come up with my story board that captures my idea of bring the crimewatch app to the user in a real life scenario. Before I did I wanted to get any feedback on aspects I could change. Whether people felt I need to change some parts of the story board or if they felt I could add in different features that would strengthen my idea.
When I began trying to gather feedback from people I instantly noticed that It was very difficult to explain my concept to people. It's hard to explain at this very early stage just because of the amount of things that will need to come together in order for it to actually make sense. But I tried to explain it in layman's term and that seemed to help.
The feedback I got was great but again some people found it difficult to understand my concept fully. Maybe that was a sign that my concept needed to be clearer? Emily suggested that I maybe didn't need the part at the end where the viewer is greeted by the victim as it was a bit long winded and I could use that time to wrap up the concept.
The majority said that they liked what I did but it needed more developing for them to truly get the gist at what I was trying to achieve. I'm going to go back to the story board and see if I could trim unnecessary bits to make the concept clearer from the onset.
