Studio Brief 1 - Secret 7 - Interim Crit

As responsive very independent, self directed module It was important for me to gather feedback from either my intended audience or my peers when I felt the feedback could help my concept and development.

In today's feedback session I asked my group what they thought about my idea/concept. I knew how i wanted to portray the concept through incorporating aspects such as meditation and features of the Bauhaus movement through using geometric shapes. What I wanted the know was the design it's self. Does the current mock up express the certain aesthetic and style, linking to aspects of meditation and whether or not it's successful.

I asked these question to my group and the results were very constructive. I showed them my current mock up they all agree that the message was very clear and that it links strongly to the meditation technique of balancing stones. However, the majority suggested that the Bauhaus theme wasn't to obvious. The colours were the biggest issue they said. They suggested that maybe having a neutral colour scheme could represent more of a modern theme. Others suggested looking at other forms of the Bauhaus movement such as the architecture and furniture. Lastly, everyone mentioned about the composition it's self. It was decided that structure doesn't look realistic if it was made in the real life the structure would fall.

This feedback was very constructive and gave me a lot of consideration to move forward in.
