Below is the story board for my concept of the 360º video feature for the audience themselves to solves the crime. Telling a narrative within a story line of my concept will only make the concept more tangible and relatable to the target audience. I felt that not showing it through a video wouldn't do the idea justice and you can't fully demonstrate a video feature with static visuals. The brief talked about making the crime more personal to the audience and making them feel as if it can happen to them therefore making them feel more involved and wanted to help and solve the crime. That's exactly how my story board is visualise.
Below is the story board with explanations. (As this story board is in early development, I will be uploading an updated one in the near future)
The story starts of with a man sitting down to watch Crimewatch. The next scene is the presenter of Crimewatch introducing the next crime. The reconstruction of the crime is playing and the victim is being stalked the attacker and then is soon being chased down a alley or small street.
Attacker catches up with the victim and them proceeds to assault and mug her leaving her helpless on the ground. The screen fades to black and the next scene comes back to the man who was watching Crimewatch in the beginning. He looks at the T.V in complete shock and sadness at the crime he has just witnessed. In this shock he picks up his phone and loads up the Crimewatch 360º app.
He begins to scan the 360º crime scene, swiping his finger in all directions to navigate around. He ends up finding a clue; a dropped phone that hasn't been discovered, which could of been dropped by the attacker. He zooms in upon his discovery and then uses the call to action button to call Crimewatch to report his clue.
Man rings Crimewatch and tells them that he has made a discovery. Two days later the man is sitting on the couch and hears a the door knocking. He goes to answer the door and in walks in the victim from the crime who got assaulted. Moving on the man with a grin on his face expressed that he has solved the case. At this moment the audience would realised that they are in a relationship and the reason why he was so shocked by the crime is that it was his girlfriend who got attacked which made him want to solve the crime and investigate the scene for himself. Emphasising on the theme of crime isn't always on your T.V but it can effect people personally.
The victim then thanks her boyfriend and they then smooch and the scene fades to black with the tagline of the campaign to round up the video.
