As the filming part for the reconstruction was complete the next step was to record Lo's voice which will become the voice over for the reconstruction. The voice over technique is a feature that Crimewatch implements in every episode, It's adds a sense of emotion and eeriness giving the reconstruction more of a drama feeling, which also connects the audience to the victim. With this in mind it was obvious that the voice over should be applied to the reconstruction to replicate and keep with the consistency of Crimewatch.
As Lo played the victim for the crime it was important for her to be the one who spoke in the recording. At first the recording was going to take place by using a voice recorder but Simon told me about the recording booth that will give me sound which was clean, uninterrupted and off high quality. With this in mind I booked a couple of hours in the recording booth and first began to write a script for Lo to follow (images below) The script acted as a guidelines and gave us a reference of how long we should spend on one scene.
